§ 103845 Advisory Committee Appointment

This law says the director has to set up an advisory group to help run this chapter, and the group must include experts in epidemiology, hospital administration, biostatistics, maternal and child health, public health, and at least one person from the manufacturing industry.

Key Takeaways

  • •The director must form an advisory committee.
  • •The committee must have members from five specific health disciplines.
  • •At least one member must represent the manufacturing industry.

Example

A state health director creates a committee with an epidemiologist, a hospital manager, a biostatistician, a maternal‑child health specialist, a public‑health officer, and a representative from a medical‑device company to guide a new vaccination program.

The director follows the law by picking people from each of those health fields and also includes someone from the manufacturing side, so the committee can give balanced advice on how to roll out the program.
