§ 102938 Pilot Program Termination

This rule says the law stops working once the health officer says the last year of pilot data has been sent to the state death‑report system, and then it is officially removed on the next January 1.

Key Takeaways

  • •The rule only ends when the health officer officially confirms the final data is submitted.
  • •After that confirmation, the rule is dead on the next January 1.
  • •The rule’s own words cause it to be removed, and it also wipes out a related part of the law (Article 6, starting at Section 102935).

Example

The state health office finishes collecting data from a pilot study on violent deaths and sends the final report to the California Violent Death Reporting System.

When the health officer signs off that the report is complete, the rule stops being active right then, and on the following January 1 the rule is completely erased.
