§ 101829 Hospital Authority License Application

• •The hospital authority can apply for health‑care licenses on its own.
• •The board of supervisors can also apply on the authority’s behalf.
• •The board can stop this by passing a resolution that says otherwise.

A city hospital wants to open a new urgent‑care center and needs a state license to operate it.

Because of this law, the hospital authority can file the license application itself, or the board can do it for the authority, unless the board has passed a resolution saying they won’t.
