§ 873 Sick Seaman Medical Expenses

If a mate or seaman becomes sick or disabled during the voyage, without his fault, the expense of furnishing him with suitable medical advice, medicine, attendance, and other provision for his wants, shall be borne by the vessel till the close of the voyage. (Enacted by Stats. 1937, Ch. 368.)
