§ 9720 Legislative Journal Distribution Rules

Key Takeaways

  • •The Senate and Assembly leaders decide how many copies of the daily Journal to make.
  • •They make sure every member and chief officer gets a copy of what happened the day before.
  • •This happens every day during the session.

Example

Imagine your school has a daily newsletter about what happened yesterday. The principal and vice-principal decide how many copies to print so every teacher and class leader gets one.

Just like that, the Senate and Assembly leaders make sure everyone important gets a copy of the Journal so they know what happened the day before.
