§ 75028 Senior Judge Compensation Rules

Key Takeaways

  • •Being a temporary judge or getting assigned by the Judicial Council doesn’t count for this law.
  • •Retired judges who want to work full-time again can choose to get paid like they were still working or like the judges in the court they’re helping now.
  • •These retired judges also get money for travel, food, and hotels when they work.

Example

A retired judge wants to help out in a busy court.

The judge can choose to get paid the same as when they were working before or match the pay of the judges in the court they’re helping. They also get extra money for travel and staying in a hotel if needed.
