§ 75002 Judges Definition

Key Takeaways

  • •A 'judge' is someone who works in big courts like the Supreme Court or smaller ones like municipal courts.
  • •If a judge retires and only helps out sometimes, they aren’t counted as a full judge under this law.
  • •Some judges who chose to go back to a different retirement plan aren’t called 'judges' here.

Example

A retired judge helps out in a court for a few days.

Even though they’re helping, they aren’t considered a full judge under this law because they’re retired.
