§ 71809 Court Interpreter Bargaining Committee

• •A group of people (the committee) talks to worker groups for all the courts in their area.
• •If the committee and worker group agree on something, all the courts in that area must follow it.
• •This rule started in 2003.

Imagine all the schools in a city agree on a new rule for teachers.

Here, the committee is like the school leaders. If they make a deal with the teachers, every school in the city has to follow that deal. Same thing with courts and their workers.
