§ 56120 Parent District Boundary Changes

Key Takeaways

  • •If a school district's rules say its boundaries change when a smaller district inside it changes, then it happens automatically.
  • •The county's special group (commission) is in charge of making these boundary changes for both the small and big school districts.
  • •This only works if the big district's main rules say this can happen.

Example

Imagine a big school district has a smaller one inside it. The smaller one changes its borders to include more houses.

If the big district's rules say its borders must change when the small one does, then the big district's borders will automatically update too. The county's commission handles this change for both.
