§ 53299 Local Employee Disclosure Reports

Key Takeaways

  • •Local groups can send a report to the Governor and Legislature every year.
  • •The report is about complaints, hearings, and legal actions involving public employees.
  • •The report helps decide if rules for public employees need to change.

Example

A city worker feels they were treated unfairly at work and files a complaint. The city holds a hearing to figure out what happened.

The city must include this complaint and hearing in their yearly report to the Governor and Legislature. This helps them see if the rules for workers are fair or need to be changed.
