§ 45081 Emergency Appointee Status Limits

A big storm hits a town and knocks out power. The city hires extra people to help fix the power lines fast.

These extra workers are only hired to help during the storm. Once the storm is over and the power is back, they don't automatically get to keep their jobs. They were only there to help with the emergency.
