Key Takeaways

  • •Government projects must use materials made in the U.S.
  • •This includes things like building roads or buying supplies for public use
  • •The rule applies to cities, counties, and other local government groups
  • •If you want a government contract, you have to promise to use American-made stuff

Example

A city wants to build a new park and needs to buy benches and swings.

The city can only buy benches and swings made in the U.S. from American materials. If a company wants to sell them the benches, they have to promise they are made in America.
