§ 404 California World'S Fair Endorsement

Key Takeaways

  • •You can't say California supports a world's fair or big show unless the law says it's okay.
  • •If you break this rule, you can get in trouble with the police (it's a misdemeanor).
  • •Some people, like state fair workers and politicians, don't have to follow this rule.

Example

You make a poster saying 'California Loves the Big Food Fair!' to get more people to go.

If California didn't actually say they support the fair, you could get in trouble for lying about it.
