§ 26725 Writ Execution Fees

Key Takeaways

  • •There's a fee for certain legal papers about property, like when someone is forced to sell their land or house.
  • •The fee is the same whether you're telling the owner or someone else who has a claim on the property.
  • •The exact amount of the fee is listed in another part of the law (Section 26720.9).

Example

If a bank takes someone's house because they didn't pay their mortgage, and the sheriff has to post a notice on the house.

The sheriff will charge a fee for putting up that notice, and the amount is the same as what’s listed in Section 26720.9.
