§ 15104 Teletype Service Funds Reallocation

• •Money collected for teletype services goes back to the department that paid for them.
• •The department can only use this money for the same things it was originally meant for.
• •The Controller is in charge of making sure the money is credited correctly.

A police department pays for teletype services to communicate with other departments.

If the police department charges another agency for using their teletype services, the money they get must go back into the police department's budget. They can't use it for something else, like buying new cars—they have to spend it on things like more teletype services or other communication tools.
