§ 12971 Complaint Withdrawal Or Dismissal

Key Takeaways

  • •If someone complains about you, but then takes it back or the people in charge drop it, you get told quickly.
  • •Both the person who complained and the person complained about get a notice if the complaint is dropped.
  • •This is about making sure everyone knows if a complaint is over, so no one is left wondering.

Example

Your neighbor complains to the city that your dog is too noisy. Later, your neighbor changes their mind and says it’s okay now.

The city must tell both you and your neighbor that the complaint is dropped, so you know you’re not in trouble anymore.
