§ 12728 State Law Supremacy

Key Takeaways

  • •This law says that if there are other laws about the same thing, this law is the boss and wins.
  • •It replaces old rules about money help programs from the government.
  • •If another law says something different about the same topic, ignore that law and follow this one.

Example

Imagine there’s an old rule that says you can get $100 for school supplies, but this new law says you can get $150 instead.

Even if the old rule is still written somewhere, this new law is the one that counts. You follow the new rule and get $150.
