§ 32321 Board Member Appointments

Key Takeaways

  • •The board has two types of members: official and public.
  • •Official members include someone from the Governor’s team and someone from the Energy Commission.
  • •Public members include people picked by the Senate, the Assembly Speaker, and the Governor.
  • •The Governor picks two special public members: one with small business experience and one from a bank.

Example

Imagine a group deciding how to spend money on energy projects in California.

This law says who gets to be in that group. Some are from the government, like the Governor’s office, and some are regular people, like a small business owner or someone who works at a bank.
