§ 22604 Loan Referral Misconduct Prohibitions

Key Takeaways

  • •Don't lie or trick people about loan details when helping them get a loan.
  • •Don't share or lose someone's private info (like their social security number) that they gave you for a loan.
  • •Don't do anything sneaky or dishonest when helping someone get a loan.
  • •If you break these rules, the boss (commissioner) can tell you to stop and punish you.

Example

You help your friend get a car loan and tell them the interest rate is 5% when it's really 10%.

This is breaking the law because you lied about the loan details to trick your friend.
