§ 4903 Big Game Fee Revenue

Key Takeaways

  • •Money from special fees goes into a special account called the Big Game Management Account.
  • •This money can only be used for taking care of bighorn sheep, like protecting them or fixing their habitats.
  • •The money is extra help and cannot replace the usual money the department already gets for bighorn sheep.
  • •The department must keep track of how this money is spent to make sure it’s used the right way.

Example

Imagine you pay an extra fee when you buy a hunting license.

That extra fee money goes into a special account just for helping bighorn sheep. It can’t be used for anything else, like paying for office supplies or other animals. The people in charge have to make sure every penny is spent on things like protecting bighorn sheep or making their homes better.
