§ 79141 Commission Continuation Referendum Rules

• •If the secretary checks and sees no big problems or if people vote 'yes', the fishing rules stay in place.
• •If people vote 'no', the fishing rules stop working after the current fishing season ends.
• •When the rules stop, the commission shuts down and any leftover money is given out as per another rule (Section 79144).
• •No one needs to pay any money or promise anything to have this vote.

Imagine your town has special fishing rules, like when and where you can fish. The town holds a vote to see if people still want these rules.

If most people vote 'yes', the rules stay. If most vote 'no', the rules go away after the current fishing season, and any money left for managing these rules is given out as per the plan. No one has to pay to have this vote happen.
