§ 77337 Late Payment Penalties

• •If you don't pay your assessment on time, you'll owe an extra 10% of what you were supposed to pay.
• •You also have to pay 1.5% interest every month on the amount you still owe.
• •The penalty and interest keep adding up until you pay everything.

A farmer was supposed to pay a $1,000 assessment by June 1st but forgot to pay until August 1st.

The farmer now owes the original $1,000, plus a $100 penalty (10% of $1,000), plus 1.5% interest for June and July (2 months).
