§ 76346 Late Payment Penalties

• •If you don't pay your assessment on time, you'll owe extra money.
• •You pay a 10% penalty on the amount you owe.
• •You also pay 1.5% interest every month on the unpaid amount until it's paid.

A farmer is supposed to pay a $1,000 assessment but forgets to pay on time.

The farmer now owes $1,000 + a $100 penalty (10% of $1,000) + 1.5% interest every month until the full amount is paid.
