§ 75538 Apple Commission Membership Rules

Key Takeaways

  • •People on the apple group must be apple growers or work for them, and stay that way the whole time.
  • •People who sell or pack apples can also be on the group, but they must keep doing that job.
  • •There can be one regular person on the group who doesn’t work with apples at all.
  • •Only one person and one backup can come from the same company.

Example

A farmer grows apples and joins the apple group. Later, they stop growing apples and start selling cars instead.

The farmer would have to leave the apple group because they’re no longer growing apples, which is a rule to stay on the group.
