§ 651 Excess Space Leasing Authority

• •The government can build or improve buildings with extra space they don't need right away.
• •They can rent out this extra space to others until they need it themselves.
• •The rental rules and prices must be approved by the Department of General Services.

The government builds a new office building with 10 floors but only needs 7 floors for now.

They can rent out the extra 3 floors to other companies or people until they need the space. The rental price and rules must be okayed by the Department of General Services.
