§ 64153 Annual Budget Recommendations

Key Takeaways

  • •Every year, before July 1, a group called the council must send a plan and budget to the secretary.
  • •The plan must be based on what the dairy industry needs and how it helps the public.
  • •The plan must include details about research, education, and communication programs.
  • •The budget must show how much money is needed for these programs and for the secretary’s work, including extra money for surprises.

Example

Imagine a group of dairy farmers who want to teach people about the benefits of drinking milk.

This group must make a plan every year that explains what they want to do, like creating ads or school programs, and how much it will cost. They send this plan to a person in charge (the secretary) to get approval and money.
