§ 6285 Winegrape District Dissolution

Key Takeaways

  • •A group of leaders (called the board of supervisors) can decide to shut down a special area (district) made for winegrape growers.
  • •They shut it down only if most of them agree it will help the winegrape business in the county.
  • •They make it official by writing a paper (resolution) to say it’s done.

Example

Imagine there’s a special group in a county that helps grape farmers. The leaders of the county think this group isn’t helping anymore.

If most of the leaders agree that shutting down the group will help the grape farmers, they can vote to close it and write it down to make it official.
