§ 62067 Milk Handler Reporting Requirements

Key Takeaways

  • •Dairy handlers must tell farmers how much milk they bought from them each month.
  • •They must also share test results about the milk, like how much fat is in it.
  • •Handlers have to explain how much they paid for different types of milk (like whole milk vs. skim milk).
  • •Farmers get a report every month showing these details.

Example

A dairy farmer sells milk to a big company that makes cheese and yogurt.

The company must send the farmer a monthly report saying how many pounds of milk they bought, what the fat content was, and how much they paid for each type of milk (like full-fat vs. low-fat).
