§ 58681 Public Utilities Exemption

• •This law does not cover rules made by the Public Utilities Commission or the Interstate Commerce Commission.
• •It only applies to common carriers, like buses or trains that carry lots of people.
• •If those groups make a rule, this law doesn’t affect it.

A bus company gets a new rule from the Public Utilities Commission about how often they must check their buses for safety.

This law doesn’t change or affect that rule. The bus company must still follow the rule from the Public Utilities Commission.
