§ 5423 Service By Posting Notice

Key Takeaways

  • •If the person who needs to get a notice can't be found in the county, even after looking hard, the notice can be given in another way.
  • •The notice can be put up in three easy-to-see places on the property that has the problem.
  • •A copy of the notice must also be mailed to the owner's last known address.

Example

A house has a lot of bugs, and the health department needs to tell the owner to fix it. But the owner is nowhere to be found in the county.

The health department can put up notices about the bug problem in three obvious spots on the property, like the front door, a tree, and a fence. They also have to mail a copy of the notice to the owner's last known address.
