§ 40932 Inspection Cost Sharing

• •If there's an inspection and certification needed, both the processor and the producer have to pay for it.

A farmer grows apples and sends them to a factory to make applesauce. The factory and the farmer need to get the apples checked to make sure they're good.

Both the farmer (producer) and the factory (processor) have to pay half of the cost for the inspection.
