§ 36065 Milk Substitute Prohibition

Key Takeaways

  • •You can't mix milk or cream with other stuff and sell it as pure milk or cream.
  • •If you try to trick people by selling fake milk or cream, it's against the law.
  • •This rule is for places like restaurants or stores where people drink or eat the milk or cream right there.

Example

A coffee shop mixes water into their cream to make it last longer but still calls it 'pure cream' on the menu.

This is illegal because they're lying about what's in the cream and trying to pass it off as the real thing.
