§ 36032 Milk Container Label Protection

Key Takeaways

  • •You can't take the cap or label off a milk bottle and put it on another one.
  • •This rule is for people who sell or handle milk.
  • •It's against the law to mix up or reuse milk caps and labels.

Example

A grocery store worker takes the cap from a fresh milk bottle and puts it on an older bottle to make it look new.

This is not allowed because it tricks people into thinking the old milk is fresh. The store worker could get in trouble for doing this.
