§ 34806 Milk Transport Safety Rules

Key Takeaways

  • •If milk or milk products are dirty, spoiled, or not safe, they can't be carried or moved.
  • •The government or an approved inspector will tell the carrier if the milk is bad.
  • •Even if you're just helping for free, you can't move bad milk.
  • •There's one exception to this rule, but it's not explained here.

Example

A truck driver is hired to take milk from a farm to a store.

If the government tells the driver the milk is spoiled or dirty, the driver can't take it. If they do, they're breaking the law.
