§ 29561 Emergency Standard Amendments

Key Takeaways

  • •Emergency rules can be changed, paused, or canceled.
  • •The same steps used to make the rule must be followed to change it.
  • •People get a chance to speak up before changes happen.

Example

A new rule says everyone must wear masks at work during a flu outbreak.

If the government wants to cancel this mask rule, they have to tell everyone and hold a meeting to listen to what people think, just like they did when they made the rule.
