§ 29556 Emergency Standard Publication Requirements

Key Takeaways

  • •Emergency rules must be announced in newspapers or industry magazines before they start.
  • •The announcement must include when and where people can complain about the rule.
  • •This is to make sure everyone who cares about the rule knows about it.

Example

The government makes a new emergency rule about wearing masks at work.

Before the rule starts, they have to put an ad in newspapers or work magazines telling everyone about it. The ad must also say when and where people can go to say they don’t like the rule.
