§ 23122 Agriculture Fund Monthly Reporting

• •The boss of the department must tell the State Controller every month how much money they collected from fees, penalties, or other sources.
• •The boss must also give all that money to the State Treasury at the same time.
• •The money goes into a special fund called the Department of Agriculture Fund.

Imagine you run a lemonade stand and have to give all your earnings to your parents every month.

Just like you tell your parents how much money you made and give it to them, the department boss does the same with the State Controller and State Treasury.
