• •The vet works as long as the board is happy with them.
• •The board can let the vet go anytime they want.
• •The vet doesn’t have a set time they must stay in the job.

A town hires a vet to take care of animals at the shelter.

If the town leaders (the board) think the vet isn’t doing a good job, they can decide to fire the vet and hire someone else. The vet doesn’t get to stay just because they’ve been there a long time.
