§ 21054 Livestock Transport Inspection Exemption

Key Takeaways

  • •Cows don’t need a check-up before moving if they’re going to or coming from a fair or show in the state.
  • •The person moving the cows must have a paper from the fair boss that shows: cow marks, who sent and gets the cows, where they’re going, and proof they own the cows.
  • •This paper lets them skip the usual cow check rules.

Example

A farmer takes his cows to the county fair to show them off.

The farmer doesn’t have to get the cows checked by the state if he has a paper from the fair boss that lists the cow marks, his name, where the cows are going, and proof he owns them.
