§ 19261 Rendering License Application

Key Takeaways

  • •You need a license to run a processing plant for dead animals.
  • •The license application must include your name, address, and where your plant is located.
  • •You have to tell them about your experience and if you own or control any related businesses.
  • •The government can ask for more info if they need it.

Example

You want to open a business that turns dead animals into useful products like fertilizer.

Before you can start, you have to fill out a form with your name, where your business will be, and what you know about this kind of work. You also have to say if you own any other businesses that pick up dead animals or process them. If you don’t do this, you can’t get the license to open your business.
