§ 18981 License Renewal Fees

Key Takeaways

  • •You must renew your license before it expires and pay $100.
  • •If you pay late, you'll have to pay an extra $25.
  • •If you don't pay the $100 plus the $25 penalty within 90 days after it expires, you lose your license.
  • •This rule is only good until January 1, 2027, unless the government changes it before then.

Example

You have a license to sell food at a fair. It expires on June 1st.

If you don't pay the $100 to renew it by June 1st, you'll have to pay $125. If you still don't pay by August 30th (90 days later), you can't sell food anymore because your license is taken away.
