§ 7783 Central Committee Vote Canvass

Key Takeaways

  • •Votes for people running for central committees must be counted and reported.
  • •The way these votes are counted and reported should be the same as how votes for county central committee members are handled.
  • •This rule has been in place since 1994.

Example

Imagine a local election where people are voting for members of a school board and also for members of a central committee.

The votes for the central committee members must be counted and reported in the same way as the votes for the school board members. This means they follow the same rules and steps to make sure everything is fair and clear.
