§ 7561 Delegate Election Priority

Key Takeaways

  • •If someone is picked to go to a big state meeting in two different ways, only the newest way counts.
  • •The old spot they had opens up, and someone else gets to take it.
  • •The new person is chosen using the rules from Section 7557.

Example

Imagine you get chosen to go to a school event because you won a contest. Then, later, you also get picked because you’re class president.

Only the class president pick counts because it happened last. The contest spot is now empty, and someone else gets to go instead using the school’s rules.
