§ 7608 Delegate Committee Meeting Notice

Key Takeaways

  • •If you're picked to be on a special committee for the state, you'll get a letter telling you about it.
  • •The letter will say when and where the committee meets (in Sacramento).
  • •You can go to the meeting yourself or send someone else to go for you.
  • •If you send someone else, you have to write and sign a paper saying it's okay, and you can't lie about it.

Example

Imagine you're chosen to help plan a big school event, but you can't go to the planning meeting.

You get a letter telling you about the meeting. If you can't go, you can ask your mom to go instead, but you have to write a note saying, 'Yes, my mom can go for me,' and sign it to promise you're not lying.
