• •If someone running for a committee position dies before or on election day, but they still get enough votes to win, their spot on the committee becomes empty.

Imagine someone named John is running for a spot on the county central committee. Sadly, John passes away the day before the election. Even though he’s gone, people still vote for him, and he gets enough votes to win.

Since John can’t take the spot because he’s no longer alive, the committee now has an empty spot. The committee will fill this empty spot the same way they fill any other empty spots on the committee.
