§ 7207 Ex Officio Committee Members

Key Takeaways

  • •Certain important leaders in California automatically become part of a special committee in their home county.
  • •These leaders include the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and other top state officials like the Attorney General.
  • •They get the same rights and privileges as other members of the committee.

Example

If the Governor of California lives in Sacramento County, they automatically become a member of a special committee there.

This means the Governor doesn’t have to apply or be chosen—they’re automatically part of the committee just because of their job.
