§ 6764 Delegate Alternate Selection Limits

Key Takeaways

  • •You can pick backup people (alternates) for a group, but not more than one backup per main person (delegate).
  • •The way you pick these backups has to follow the rules from another part of the law (Section 6763).

Example

Imagine a school is picking students to go to a big meeting. They also need to pick backup students in case someone can't go.

The school can only pick one backup student for each main student going to the meeting. They have to follow the same rules they used to pick the main students to choose the backups.
