§ 6082 Steering Committee Nomination Duties

Key Takeaways

  • •A steering committee must share nomination papers for candidates running for office.
  • •They also share papers for groups wanting to send uncommitted delegates.
  • •This helps people know who is running and what groups are involved.

Example

Imagine a school election where kids want to run for class president.

The steering committee (like the teacher in charge) must give out the forms to kids who want to run. They also give forms to groups who want to support someone not yet picked. This way, everyone knows who is running and can vote fairly.
