§ 6080 Candidate Steering Committee

• •If you want to run for office under Article 4, you need a team of 7 people to help you.
• •This team is called a steering committee.
• •You must pick one person from this team to be the leader (chairperson).
• •This rule also applies to groups trying to send delegates who aren’t tied to a specific candidate.

Imagine you want to run for a big political position, like governor.

You can’t do it alone—you need a team of 7 people to guide your campaign. One of them has to be the boss of the team. Even if a group just wants to send delegates without picking a candidate, they still need this team.
