§ 18504 Voting Corruption Notice Requirements

This law says the state has to let everyone know about the rules that stop people from messing with elections, and the Secretary of State will write the detailed instructions on how to give that notice.

Key Takeaways

  • •The public must be told about the anti‑corruption rules for voting.
  • •The Secretary of State writes the specific steps for giving that notice.
  • •The notice has to be given in the way the Secretary of State’s regulations say.

Example

A town wants to put up signs at the local polling place warning that buying votes is illegal.

The town must follow the notice rules that the Secretary of State creates, like putting the warning on the town website and on a sign at the voting site, so the public knows the anti‑vote‑corruption rules.
